Megan is an award-winning freelance science journalist based in Boston, Massachusetts, specializing in the life and environmental sciences.

She is a health columnist for the Boston Globe, and has contributed to Newsweek, Bloomberg News, Scientific American, Discover, MATTER, Nature, Technology Review, and Pacific Standard, among others. For five years, she worked as a correspondent then a contributing editor at The Scientist magazine.

In 2013, she was awarded the prestigious Evert Clark/Seth Payne Award in recognition of outstanding reporting and writing in science. The award is bestowed upon one young science journalist annually.

Megan received an M.S. from the Graduate Program in Science Writing at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a B.A. at Boston College, and worked as an educator at the Museum of Science, Boston.
